SPARK: Shaping Analytical Minds

Sharada Program for Analytical and Realistic Knowledge- SPARK designed by Sharada Vidyalaya, aims to ignite intellectual curiosity, foster a deep understanding of complex concepts and bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application by emphasizing critical thinking, data-driven analysis, and real-world problem-solving. Through a dynamic curriculum, SPARK trains students in various domains such as coding, web development, STEM and Robotics, science applications and foundation courses, crafted to enhance learner’s analytical prowess and practical insight and equips them with the skills needed to tackle today’s challenges.

1. What is the SPARK competition(Spark Quest 2024)?

  • The (SPARK Competition) will be conducted in three levels, each tailored to different age groups.
  • Level 1 is designated for 5thgrade students, focusing on Electronics and Sensor Technology.
  • Level 2 is for those in 6th-7th grade , focusing on Mechanical and Wireless Technology.
  • Level 3 is specifically for students in 8th and 9th grade focusing on Robotics.
  • (This structured approach ensures that participants compete against peers at similar developmental stages, providing a fair and relevant challenge for all age groups).

2. Does SPARK provide training?

Yes, the SPARK team provides free training sessions for selected students in the above categories, which will be conducted over a period of one month (on Sundays), with each session designed to prepare you thoroughly for the competition.

3. When will the competition and training take place?

The competition will take place on the last Sunday of the SPARK training sessions, allowing participants to apply what they have learnt and showcase their skills. The SPARK training sessions begin in November 2024.

4. Is the SPARK competition and training free?

Yes, SPARK training and the competition are completely free of cost except for the registration fee of 200 INR for all selected students. There is no fee for the (application) or the training processes.

5. How to apply?

Any student from 5th to 9th grade(current academic year) can fill out the application form provided below. Besides filling the application form students should include(upload a video/ photos) of any project they have completed during the previous academic year(or in the recent past).

6. Will I get selected if I apply?

No, applying to the SPARK Competition does not guarantee selection, but all submitted projects will be carefully reviewed by the SPARK team. The best entries will be shortlisted based on the innovation and quality of the project report submitted with the application and a telephonic interview. Selected students will proceed to the next stages of the competition.
